I'm wondering what to do with the dried cherries I bought last week. They seemed okay in the steamed pudding I did on Sunday (better than the cakey part, that's fer sher!), but they're a bit too sour for anything else. I tried them in my cream of Wheat this morning and needed some maple syrup with it as well. They might work for a sauce for meat (or "meat") though.

I love them in oatmeal cookies instead of raisins (as I detest raisins)
Oh I bet that would be good! Maybe I should have tried them in my oatmeal yesterday to get a preview.
