Post-op Follow-up Day
I get to have how well I'm healing confirmed. Yay.
Morning:
tea with soy milk and sweetener
coffee with soy milk
1 small banana
dry cereal
Snack:
small pear
water
The appointment went well. The path report says it was chronic cholecystitis and adenomyosis. And it also described the mucosa as "velvety." Just makes you hungry, doesn't it? She snipped the suture knots too, so I'm a bit sore, but everything is A-OK!

small salad

Slow motion
When I had my consult before the surgery, the surgeon said one patient described his energy levels like being on the Mass Pike in a golf cart. You feel fine, but even at top speed everyone is whizzing past. That's me today.

Day two back at work
I managed to make it through the whole day at work yesterday (barely), and even stayed up until 9:30 last night before going to bed to read for a bit. But then I woke up at 4:00 for about half an hour. Feh

Lunch:
fresh spring rolls with about 2T peanut sauce
garden salad with FAAAAATTY dressing

Après Work:
1 slice pizza
Dinner:
veggie sausage sandwich
bread
about 1/3 cup ice cream
1/2 a beer (and then I fell asleep on the couch)

Back at work
The surgery went well and I'm trying my first day back at work. I'm exhausted already at 9:30, but I think it's mostly because I've been sleeping until 9:00 every day and not had to get out and be at work at the ungodly hour of 8:30.
Since getting the gall bladder out I've had butter, olive oil, cheese, two cupcakes, ice cream, and various and sundry delivery food. With NO PAIN! But now, back to being a good girl and logging things.
Morning:
tea with non-fat soy milk
coffee with regular soy milk
water
Lunch:
garden salad with leftover tortellini with pesto
water
coffee with soy milk
Evening:
A few spoonfuls of ice cream
iced tea (brewed, no sugar)
baked potato with trace of butter, topped with beans
broccoli
tiny glass of cognac
